Part 1 - Intro
Aero Telemetry, the company that designed and built the flyable models for the Academy Award winning film The Aviator, is building a museum scale replica of the world famous Hughes H-1 Racer for celebrating the 75 year anniversary of the Academy of Model Aeronautics.

The plane will be featured at the celebration event to be held at AMA headquarters in Muncie, Indiana in July 2011.

The gigantic scale airplanes of the XF-11, H1 Racer and Spruce Goose used for the movie The Aviator. Designed and built by Joe Bock and the Aero Telemetry team in less than 3 months, these beautiful scale models were filmed for the flying sequences for the film.
