Blenheim Model
Aero Club's flying site is located on the ARA vineyard on
state highway
63 approximately 10 km from the Renwick, West Coast road turn off.
Club members meet at our flying site every Sunday morning. If you are
interested in radio controlled flying, please feel free to visit
our flying field on a club day. Alternatively, if you are
interested in joining our club, contact our club Secretary.
As well as our regular Sunday club days we also host an annual fly-in
once a year, and several float fly's on one of the large lakes on ARA's
vineyard.
Our club members have a wide range of interests in model radio
controlled aircraft including scale, vintage, aerobatics, electric,
gliding and jet turbines and are willing to share their knowledge with
anyone else who has an interest.

26th Annual Fly-in Queens Birthday weekend 2010
After weeks of rain and overcast days, the weather finally
cleared for the start of the fly-in at least.
With the forecast not looking great for Sundays flying and wakening
to heavy rain again unfortunately the days flying had to be
canceled.
The weather held of all day Saturday for us and all those who
participated had a great days flying with blue skies and little
breeze
The weekend's event was attended by modelers from clubs around
the top of the south down to Canterbury, with a wide range of
model types from ARF's through to jet turbines.
Saturday was also attended by large numbers of public who were
treated to an awesome display of model aircraft flight.

Club
Float Fly July 25th
A fun day was had by all, with people attending from the host
club, MAMS, Nelson M A C and Kaiapoi
M A C.
Flying conditions were perfect not even a hint of a breeze and
perfectly still lake with a beautiful backdrop of snow covered
mountains. For a few this was their introduction to float flying.
Robert Evens managed a successful maiden of his new Thunder Tiger
Cessna and had many enjoyable flights over the day. Unfortunate
for Guy he was experiencing some engine problems with his Sealane
and wisely chose not to fly her, thankfully he had a backup and
enjoyed some successful flight from his Aquastar The day went of
without a hitch and only a couple of dunkings
Thanks to those who came and joined in on the fun.
